Who is the controller and who is the processor of the personal data?
1. DataChecker BV processes data from clients who hire our services. In that case, we are the processor of the data, and the client is the controller. In that case, DataChecker processes the personal data according to the instructions of the controller, who is ultimately responsible.
2. DataChecker is the controller for the processing of personal data in the following business activities: collecting its claims, checking all identification documents worldwide.

Our website and / or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are younger than 16 years. Unless they have permission from parents or guardians. For what purpose and on what basis do we process personal data?
DataChecker BV processes personal data for the following purposes:

How long do we keep your personal data?
DataChecker BV does not store personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which data is collected. We use different retention periods for each purpose. Personal data will be destroyed or irreversibly anonymized at least eight years after the last payment has been collected or after we have received personal data.
Security of personal data
DataChecker BV ensures proper security of personal data. Appropriate security measures are taken to prevent abuse of unauthorized access to personal data. Personnel without the correct authorization do not have access to this data.
What cookies or similar technology do we use?
DataChecker BV uses functional, analytical and tracking cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of a computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit this website. To ensure that the request for access has been made by the user, we ask you to send a copy of your ID with the request. In this copy, black out the passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect privacy. We will respond to the request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.
DataChecker BV would also like to point out that you have the option to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
How do we secure your personal data?
DataChecker BV takes the protection of data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. If you have the idea that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of misuse, please contact our customer service or via info@datachecker.nl. Datachecker uses TLS (formerly SSL). We send data via a secure internet connection. This can be seen in the address bar ‘https’ and the padlock in the address bar.
